Health & Happiness 4 You is a quarterly magazine published and distributed in London.
The magazine is edited and published by journalist Dr Vijay Rana, a former BBC World Service radio editor. He worked for the BBC for more than 25 years and then moved on to take up other creative interests in life.
Dr Vijay Rana writes for one of India’s major English broadsheets, the Indian Express. He has also written for the Times, BBC Online, India Today and a Hindi newspaper Amar Ujala and Samachar.com.
While in the BBC, in 1987, he launched what was perhaps the first regular weekly environment programme in Hindi. The programme later expanded into covering health issues.
With the benefit of that experience Dr Vijay Rana launched in 2011 a free community magazine, the Health & Happiness 4 You.
This magazine brings latest health news in a simple and digestible form. Inspirational health stories are aimed at empowering readers with positive psychology and encourage them to take charge of their wellbeing.
Dr Vijay Rana has interviewed for the BBC Hindi seven prime ministers of India – Morarji Desai, Atal Bihari Bajpayee, Narsimha Rao, VP Singh, IK Gujaral, Chandrashekhar and Charan Singh.
He has also interviewed hundereds of senior Indian leaders, including many chief ministers, cabinet ministers, economists, scientists and film stars.
Among the cricketers he did the first big media interview of Sachin Tendulkar. And also interviewed world cricket stars like Gary Sobers, Ian Bothom, Nawab Pataudi, Alan Border, Muhammad Azahruddin, Bishan Bedi, Richard Hadlee, Imran Khan, Richie Benaud and many more.
